Remodeling in Manhattan Beach

Guido decided to follow a Resident in their remodeling venture.  The remodel is over, the house is done, so here are a few of the phases of the remodel.

The Miracle -- The Couple who did the Remodel have not started legal action against each other, and neither has been hospitalised or placed on a 72 hour hold.  In the last few days.  Guido says that a re-model is more difficult than a teardown and then building new home because there are so many unknown factors.  The remodel often has to meet floor and ceiling levels on the existing house that are not level, or on the same plane as the remodel.  Many of the original parts of the building may not be exactly as they are shown on the as-built drawings-- If they even exist.  Some settling most likely has happened since the original home was built.

Of interest is the statistic that most re-models are sold within the following year.  Disappointment from the owner, or reality finally setting in?  People often have a dream vision for their remodel, that dream most often does not have much connection with reality.  The Architect's drawing and the real building often are very different when you build new, so how do you meet the needs of a person who wants to remodel and has a dream view of the new home.
